Gray has transformed in the last couple of years. We no longer think of it in terms of overcast days or stuffy business suits. It's stepped up and become the hot new neutral that's taken beige's place. Say hello to grays that are stylish, glamorous, and even have a hint of sophistication.

Find out how to pick the right shade of gray for your space

Silver Gray

A gray paint that's on the light side will transform into a silver gray in a well lit space. Looks great when combined with white where it will create a peaceful space you'll want to relax in.

Medium Gray

Medium gray works as a neutral background for whatever pop of color your want to focus on. Bright yellows, lime greens and vivid cyan accents all help to create a cheery space.

Greige

Is it gray or is it beige? When you can't quite decide, it's greige. Think of grays that are on the warmer side of the spectrum and the cozier side too.

Stone Gray

Thinking of the more saturated grays, don't forget to include textures and patterns as well. Even pewter grays, which include a touch of bronze, can be included.

Purple Gray

Be warned that gray can end up looking purple. If this is what you're looking for, that's great. If it's not though, you might want to consider trying out a paint sample on your wall. Seeing a color on a tiny paint chip is nothing like seeing it on a wall at different times of the day.

Dark Gray

Deep charcoal grays are elegant and subdued. They can be calming when combined with white, or provide a great backdrop when combined with bright accents like mustard, cyan or orange.
