This argument is almost as popular as the toilet paper roll direction: Do you store cups up or down in the kitchen cabinet?

Some argue that by leaving the open side up, they will accumulate dust. And leaving them upside down lets any water drain.

Others argue that putting the drinking side down is gross and makes your drink taste like the shelf!

So what is the answer? Unless you live in a really dusty area, your cups aren't going to be getting dusty in a closed cabinet. Most glasses won't be sitting around long enough to get dusty anyway. And those that do sit around for extended periods will probably want to wash anyway. As for draining water? What are you thinking by putting wet dishes into the cabinet? Make sure your dishes are thoroughly dry and protect your kitchen cabinets from excessive moisture which can make them smell musty or worse.
